Season's of Change

Spring is in the air...

Kinda, it's actually been pretty cool but everything is starting to bloom. Here's a pic of the walkway to the house:

And a zoom of the phlox, it's like a blanket of purple welcoming you to the driveway:

Speaking of Spring... The Shabby Tea Room challenge today is to use the photo they have posted for inspiration and include flowers, hearts, and polka dots. Here's what I came up with.

And I haven't done the PTI MIM challenge in awhile. Check out their site and all the beautiful inspiration color combos they have posted. Here's what I came up with using all PTI stamps. The flowers are rolled fabric strips ;)

Birds & Flowers...

I love both and am happy watching them all return this Spring. The tulips and daffodils are blooming and a lot of the birds have returned (I think I even heard a Oriole). I've been checking out the garden centers but it's much too early to plant anything.

I did make my own little succulent containers today, I'll be sure to take some pics to share. ;)

Todays Shabby Tea Room challenge was inspired by a photo (check out their site) and asked that you use the colors in the photo, trim, and flowers. Here's what I came up with. The flowers and butterflies are made from crepe paper (very fun to make).

I'm back..

Sorry I've been gone for so long. We went on a wonderful vacation to Florida for 2 weeks. When I got home and tried to post my photos wouldn't load.. ekk!! I finally figured it out today, I guess with Explorer 9 something has to be changed to work with Typepad. Anyway, glad to be back. :)

 

First up a card I did for Emma's Paperie that fits todays Shabby Tea Room challenge to use aqua, pink, neutrals, and flowers. I love the new MME collections and the hexagons.

And a journal I made for Emma's using Kaisercraft goodies.. LOVE the wood frame and butterflies. I'm using the journal to plan my next vacation, lol. :)
