It's that time of year again and the leprechaun is up to his tricks at our house. I know I posted this last year, but thought I'd share again. I believe this is our third year with our leprechaun trap tradition. It's such a fun way to break up the long and gloomy winter. :)
About 3 years ago we made a leprechaun trap using a coffee can, colored papers, some sticks, and various extra scrap supplies I had laying around.
Each night we leave some gold nuggets to try to lure the leprechaun in and trap him in our can. Now if we trap him the only way he can get out is by leaving a gift behind. And while he's at it he plays a few tricks. We've found green milk, shamrock sprinkles all over, and various other green surprises. ;)
Here's the trap we made together:
Happy hunting.. watch out for those tricky leprechauns!

My daughter does this, too. Such a CUTE idea!
