Hope everyone had a great weekend! I spent the weekend stripping *more* wallpaper, drywall mudding, and finally painting our laundry room. I did a lovely pale yellow with white trim. I'm really on a home remodeling kick these days. I started with our hallway about a year ago and have tackled the dining room, living room, kitchen, master bath, ceilings, 2nd bath (1/2 done), and 2 weeks ago the extra bedroom and stairway.
I have a ton of projects planned: hardwood floors, tileing, granite countertops, new furniture. Some of the big ones (the floors) dh will need to do, but I can't wait. I also want to either put the tv above the fireplace or get a new entertainment center?? Has anyone done the above the fireplace w/your tv? Do you like?
And speaking of white here's the entertainment center I fell in love with:
Isn't it beautiful *sigh* :) A couple people asked about seeing the kitchen cupboards I painted & glazed as well. Before they were that 80's oak look and now:
Next new countertops & floors. Now onto my project.
This week at the Shabby Tea Room the challenge is to create something with white & one other color.. right up my alley!! :) And I combined it with the sketch at CardPatterns this week, fun!
I used Webster's Pages papers & bloomer, PTI stamps & white embossing powder, PTI die to make border, and the handmade stick pin from my mom. ;)

Oh gosh you remind me of ME and my house... Lol. DH and I are working hard at getting project upon project done. I'd love to hear whatever feedback you get re: the fireplace & tv combo. We're having the same debate. But... we have an exposed brick fireplace surround (floor to ceiling), so I'm not sure how that'll work. Anyhow... beautiful card! ;) Love the teal.

GOR-JUS, Sherry!! The card AND the glazed kitchen cabinets! I also have taupe glazed & antiqued kitchen cabinets and I LOVE them!!
We're finishing off an unfinished bonus space in our house as we speak, so know exactly how you're feeling with the house being torn apart ... it'll be worth it in the end!!
